"Warriors of Middle–Earth™" is the latest expansion for "War of the Ring™ Second Edition" and adds a whole new dimension of strategy to this award-winning Lord of the Rings board game. With exciting new gameplay options to explore, players' experience will become deeper and richer.
In the War of the Ring, many different peoples and creatures played a role: the mysterious Ents, the Dead Men of Dunharrow, the Great Eagles of the Misty Mountains, the Corsairs of Umbar, the Wild Men of Dunland, and the enormous spiders of Mirkwood and Mordor.
"Warriors of Middle–Earth™" provides a deeper understanding of the actions of these combatants, who were previously only represented in the game as event cards. Now they become a central part of the game with unique figures and special abilities.
As the Free Peoples player, you can now gather the Ents to liberate Rohan, or even send them to protect Lórien or Gondor; storm the southern lands with an Army of the Dead; fly with the Eagles to rescue the Fellowship or relieve a siege.
As the Shadow player, you can sail with the ships of the dark Corsairs along the Anduin River or the west coast; lead a horde of Dunlendings to conquer Edoras or set the Shire ablaze; let the giant spiders crawl out from the darkest corners of Middle-earth to terrify your enemies...
With new special dice, two sets of faction event cards, and new figures, "Warriors of Middle–Earth™" significantly expands the possibilities for both Free Peoples and Shadow, making every battle in "War of the Ring™ Second Edition" even more challenging and fun.
